New Orleans Pelicans forwards Zion Williamson (health and safety logs) and Brandon Ingram (toe) are absent from Thursday night’s home game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Other players listed on New Orleans’ injury report are Larry Nance Jr. (Achilles) and EJ Liddell (knee). Both Ingram and Liddell are staying out indefinitely. And Nance Jr. is listed as questionable.

According to some NBA betting sites, the Pelicans have the ninth best odds to win the championship in 2023. Check out which sportsbooks are showing the higher odds for the Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns.

This is Williamson’s sixth missed game this season. In 25 starts, the third-year player is averaging 25.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He also shoots 60.3% from the field and 33.3% from behind the bow.

Of course, Brandon Ingram should return for this clash against San Antonio. However, he is now expected to return for next Monday’s game against the Indiana Pacers.

“He’s getting better and better. The process was a little slower than expected,” Pelicans coach Willie Green said of Ingram’s injury.

Additionally, the Pelicans enter this matchup with a four-game sled. Their 121-100 loss to the Utah Jazz last Tuesday ended the team’s seven-game winning streak.
