The Bulls had a heated chat in the locker room after the team lost to the Timberwolves. This reportedly referred to Zach LaVine’s lack of defensive efforts.
Speculation mounted that suggested the two-time NBA All-Star was split from the team. According to LaVine, that’s not the case.
“I didn’t make up the report,” said the 27-year-old shooting guard. “It didn’t come out of my mouth, it didn’t come out of DeMar’s mouth, it didn’t come out of Vooch’s mouth. This opinion is pressed on me as if I had said something.
“If I had something to say about the team, it would come out of my mouth. That didn’t come from me. I’m here to answer your questions. I feel good in the team. Of course we’re frustrated because we lost a few games.”
Zach LaVine reiterated that his maximum contract didn’t weigh him down and he responds@TheAthleticreport that he was separated from the Bulls.
