For a moment, Edie Falco didn’t think people wanted to go back to Pandora.
While Avatar is one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, the Sopranos star recently admitted she thought Avatar: The Way of Water was already out — and just plain a massive flop. But the actress, who stars in the re-released sequel to the 2009 film, has a good explanation.
“The second avatar that comes out, I think I shot four years ago,” Edie shared on The View on December 16. “And I’m busy doing stuff, and someone mentioned Avatar, and I was like, ‘Oh, I think it came out and didn’t do very well. It happens.'”
“And then recently someone said, ‘Avatar is coming out,'” she continued. “‘Oh it’s not out yet? I haven’t seen the new one yet, so I’m excited.'”
And the Nurse Jackie actress, 59, joked that “she would never work again” because she thought Avatar had come out and tanked.
