Long gone are the days when the league’s biggest stars fought to win the NBA All-Star Games and played defensively at least in the fourth quarter.
That year, Team Giannis defeated Team LeBron 184-175 in a game in which players mostly stood silent on defense.
Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith thinks it’s wrong for players not to make an effort at the All-Star Game.
“Damn no, I didn’t enjoy it. … It just invokes a certain level of arrogance and takes fans for granted,” Smith said on First Take.
Team LeBron coach Michael Malone also called this year’s All-Star Game the worst game ever.
