The Timberwolves were defeated by the Wizards (106-114) after a very poor fourth quarter that Minnesota lost 19-38.
Mike Conley, who joined the Wolves via a trade from the Jazz before the trade deadline, said after the game his team couldn’t give up the games and lose focus.
“We can’t throw it off a man’s knee or give up a layup, flip it right back over and give up another layup. We can’t afford that,” Conley said, according to Jon Krawczynski. “We all have to think that as a whole group. To get in here, I just have to be very, very careful.”
