Mercedes-Benz makes it easier for customers to configure a unique EQS sedan. The electric alternative to the S-Class will receive several customization options such as new paint colors and a more luxurious interior via the manufacturing program launched in 2021.
Both the regular EQS and the AMG-badged model are eligible to receive the Manufacture treatment. Nine paint colors complement the palette, including Vintage Blue and Kalahari Gold Magno. Some of these colors are borrowed from the S-Class and each cost 7,021 euros in Germany. Pricing for our market has not yet been announced, although buyers already have three manufacture colors to choose from.
The Badge Package, priced at €1,487 (about US$1,600), adds high-pile floor mats and headrests branded with the Mercedes-Benz logo to EQS models ordered with standard interior, black upholstery and black carpet are embroidered. For a more luxurious cabin, the Manufactory Interior Package bundles leather-trimmed seats with diamond quilting, leather upholstery on the armrests, center console and lower portion of the dashboard, high-pile floor mats with leather-trimmed edging, illuminated door sills, and either the Mercedes-Benz star or Mercedes-Benz AMG logo embroidered on the headrests. The finishing touch is a “Manufaktur” logo written in italics on the center console.
Buyers who opt for the interior pack have multiple color choices, including three new shades called Tobacco Brown, Mystic Red and Rosé Grey. The trade-off is that adding this pack of options to the EQS costs €11,007 (around $11,800) in Germany. Prices for the American market were not published. We’ve reached out to the company and will update this story as we learn more.
