There’s no denying how impressive Luka Doncic is. His game is polished for his young age and he’s a serious MVP contender this season. However, the Mavericks have struggled to produce consistent wins all season and have a 15-16 record that ranks tenth in the Western Conference. In their 116-106 loss to the Timberwolves last night, both head coach Jason Kidd and superstar Luka Doncic were knocked out of the game. Dallas let the officials hear it for most of the game, and eventually it all piled up.
Doncic and his head coach were both knocked out in the third quarter with about two minutes remaining. Luka couldn’t believe he was being kicked out of the game and his head coach was trying to lobby for him and Kidd got that out soon after. Dallas struggled from behind all game after a 14-point second quarter. The Mavs might have 32 points in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to stop Anthony Edwards from 29 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists in their win over Dallas.
NBA betting sites have the Mavericks at (+3500) to win the finals this season.

Doncic and Kidd were both eliminated from the Mavs vs. T-Wolves game
Luka Doncic is known to sometimes lose his nerve in matches, leading to ongoing technical foul problems. It happened again last night against the Timberwolves. He knew he was already playing with a tech and must have said something to a referee to get his second tech of the game. Jason Kidd soon followed and he was ejected after almost chasing the referee to try and get an explanation. That’s what he had to say about the whole incident after the game.
“I’m here because I have to be. I’ve already given up money, so I don’t want to give it up anymore, so no questions. We go back and watch the tape and see how we can get better. They were the better team tonight and we’ll go from there. Thank you for showing up. – Jason Kidd
Kidd was very blunt in his post-game comments and clearly had more to say, but held back as he didn’t want to lose more money on stupid comments. Injuries are piling up for the Mavs and they need to seriously consider completing a swap to bring some much-needed help to Luka Doncic this season.
