Lily Allen has more to announce.
As the discussion of nepotism continues to grow in Hollywood, the “Smile” singer — the daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen — recently shared and wrote her take on “Nepo Babies.” a tweet dated December 19 that “you should all be concerned about who works for law firms, banks and politicians when we talk about the real-world consequences and depriving people of opportunity.”
The remark was met with some backlash on social media, with one Twitter user commenting: “So are you having these discussions? Nobody’s stopping you over there!’ I’m not ready to be distracted by them.”
Now Lily defends herself and clears her mind. “See I seem to have upset people with my comments about Nepo babies,” she wrote in a Tweet from December 20th. “I am almost 40 years old and more than happy. In fact, I think it’s important to open up about what a privileged upbringing I had and how it opened up so many opportunities for me.”
