Last year, the Pacers traded two-time NBA All-Star Domantas Sabonis to the Kings and received Tyrese Haliburton in a multiplayer trade.

So far, both players have had a good season individually, but the teams are also doing better than expected. According to LeBron James, it’s rare that a trade works for both teams.

“It’s very rare that a trade works well for both franchises,” the four-time NBA fighter said after the Lakers were defeated by the Kings. “The trade between Tyrese Haliburton and Domantas Sabonis has worked well for both franchises.

“I think De’Aaron and Domantas complement each other very well. I think Saboni’s ability to play at the elbow like his dad used to do, his ability to pass, his ability to rebound and score goals makes him very dynamic.

“And especially De’Aaron’s speed gives him a lot of space because you don’t want to go up because he’s flying right past you. His ability to take mid range shots and he has added a little post game to his game where he can shoot over guys smaller than him as he levels up which also makes him dynamic.

This season, Sabonis is averaging 18 points, 12.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 33.4 minutes per game.
