The Lakers lost Anthony Davis for at least a month after the 29-year-old forward injured his right foot.

With the superstar out for an extended period, LeBron James was asked if the team might be taking a step to compensate for AD’s absence.

The four-time NBA champion said he doesn’t get asked that question because he’s not in the front office.

About The Athletic’s Jovan Buha:

“No question for me,” James said. “I have no idea. When I play, I show up, prepare, go to work and prepare my boys to win a basketball game. I play the game, I’m not in the front office so we’ll see. But I’m focused on the game and we’re trying to win basketball games, especially when I’m out on the floor.”

The Lakers are still trying to salvage their season after a poor start. They currently sit 12th in the Western Conference with 13 wins and 17 losses.
