The LA Lakers will always take center stage while LeBron James is on the team. Media and fans always have something to say about her, regardless of her record on the season. It gets worse when they expect the team to be a playoff contender and they don’t even make the Western Conference top ten. It’s been a tough 13-17 season for the Lakers. They are 5-5 in their last ten games and superstar Anthony Davis suffered a right foot injury against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.
If the rumors are true, it could be a devastating blow to the Lakers season. First, NBA insider Shams Charania said Davis is likely to be out for at least a month with this right foot injury. Now there are fears he could actually miss two to three months and it would be difficult for LA to bounce back with the way the season has gone so far. Lakers fans are hoping to hear the best possible news about his foot injury in the near future.
NBA betting sites have the Lakers at (+3300) to win the finals this season.

Davis, missing 2-3 months, would effectively end the Lakers season
Of the Lakers’ 30 games that season, Davis played in 25 of them and he was in serious tear. Davis still leads the Lakers in points (27.4), rebounds (12.1), steals (1.3), and blocks (2.1) per game. He also played the second most minutes per game (33.4) of any Laker this season. His head coach Darvin Ham put Davis in the middle position this season, and it’s worked out well for the team. Ham had this to say about his eight-time All-Stars injury.
“The first priority is to take care of your health”… “To hell with what people have to say. … We have a phenomenal medical team of really, really brilliant people within the organization who are making sure he gets the best possible care and as soon as we find out what’s going on we will act accordingly. The season is pretty early and he just has to mind his business, starting with making sure he comes back healthy first and foremost.” -Darvin Ham
With Davis missing at least a month for the Lakers, LeBron James needs to support and carry the team as much as possible, and it doesn’t get any easier for him as he gets older. There isn’t as much talent on the team as James has had in the past. Others like Russell Westbrook and Austin Reaves are being urged to also try to make an impact. The Lakers are hoping for the best possible news as Davis’ injury progresses.
