After months of rumors and speculation, Kia has confirmed that production of the Stinger will soon end. The company ships its sports sedan with a limited-edition model called the Tribute Edition, which gets a handful of specific design cues inside and out.

The Stinger Tribute Edition is based on the GT trim and is powered by an unmodified version of the twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 found in the production car. It develops 368 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque and is bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The changes that differentiate the Tribute Edition from the Stinger are purely aesthetic: the sedan is available in Ascot Green or in a new color called Moonscape and gets black exterior trim, gloss black painted 19-inch wheels and black Brembo brake calipers.

Inside, the Tribute Edition gets terracotta leather upholstery on the seats and door panels, as well as carbon-fiber-look trim on the center console. Kia also notes that it embedded a wasp-shaped emblem into the headrests and placed a numbered plaque on the driver’s door sill.

Production of the Kia Stinger Tribute Edition 2023 is limited to 1,000 units worldwide. When they’re gone, they’re gone; nothing indicates that the sedan will spawn a successor. There’s no word yet on how much the Tribute Edition will cost or how many of the 1,000 planned units will be headed to the United States. We’ve reached out to the company for more details and will update this story as we learn more.
