Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn doesn’t wait to call time off when his players make defensive mistakes. Kevin Durant says it’s beneficial for the team.
“Just reconnect,” KD said of the message during the quick timeouts. “We understand we made a mistake but when your coach comes back and everyone on the bench and the coaching staff repeats what happened and we’ve been watching on the tablet and we see it’s always to our advantage.
“I love it when he does that. It just keeps us updated, keeps the coaching staff updated, the arena updated, just knowing we’re trying to win this game. I like the sense of urgency and Jacque has done that since he was a coach.
“I was just about to say he does, he does it less but it costs like the last couple of games he’s called quick timeouts. We don’t want him to do that in the future. We want to try and play through the stuff, but I appreciate that as a player.”
Brooklyn is currently on a seven-game winning streak. Finally they destroyed the warriors (143-113).
