A spy from the British embassy in Berlin who sold secrets to Russia and got caught up in an undercover sting by MI5 has been sentenced to 13 years and two months in prison.
David Smith, 58, tried to damage Britain’s interests by leaking details of the embassy and its staff for cash payments, a judge found after the spy pleaded guilty.
