Google’s first foldable smartphone has been rumored for a long time, but it’s finally set to hit the market this year. We’ve already seen it in leaked CAD-based renders, and today a new report is talking about its weight.

Apparently, the Pixel Fold will be heavier than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold4, the device that will actually serve as its main competitor. That may be at least partly related to the other tidbit released today, which is that the Pixel Fold will have a bigger battery than the Samsung.

We’re not told exactly how much larger, just that “battery size will be closer to, but still well under, 5,000mAh.” Closer to 5,000mAh compared to the Z Fold4’s 4,400mAh and the Oppo Find N2’s 4,520mAh. So we’re counting on around 4,700 mAh then?

As a guide to weight, keep in mind that the Z Fold4 tips the scales at 263g. So the source of today’s rumor is telling us to think of the Pixel Fold as a small tablet, which doesn’t sound too exciting considering it won’t be like a small tablet.

The image above reportedly compares the size of the unfolded Pixel Fold (in red) to the unfolded Find N2 (in green) to the unfolded Galaxy Z Fold4 (in blue). Like the Find N2, the Pixel Fold’s unfolded display is in landscape mode, rather than portrait like the Z Fold4.

According to a leaked roadmap of Google’s launches, the Pixel Fold was set to become official at or “around” the Google I/O developer conference, traditionally held in May.
