However, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star explained the confusion when users accused her of writing the comment for her husband.
“That was actually Joe who wrote that,” Melissa wrote on Instagram on Feb. 19. “He had my phone in his hand and he didn’t even realize he was writing it on my phone. I showed him Gia’s comment.”
Joe’s original post documented meeting his former brother-in-law when he wrote: “They both went to the same bar at the same time. There’s a lot of history there. We have memories since we were children. I’m happy he’s doing well and looking good.”
The 43-year-old added: “We were both happy to see each other and catch up. I’m glad someone caught it.”
Meanwhile, not everyone saw an issue with the reunion, with Joe and Melissa’s 17-year-old daughter Antonia commenting, “So cute.”
Joe and Melissa, who have been married since 2004, are also parents to sons Gino, 15, and Joey, 12.
