It appears point guard Patrick Beverley is no longer a free agent as his agent Kevin Bradbury announced the player is finalizing the final terms of his negotiations with the Chicago Bulls after completing his buyout from Orlando last week.
Both the team and the athlete expect to make the agreement public this Tuesday as the Bulls will first have to give up a player to make room for Beverley, a Chicago native who attended John Marshall High School as a teenager. The decision was reportedly between playing for Golden State or returning to his hometown.
The team are reported to want the player’s fierce stance in his dressing room, adding extra energy to the club. Although Beverly’s personality can be provocative at times and borders on controversy, if coupled with the right motivation, it could be quite inspiring.

The Bulls currently sit 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 26-33 record before this All-Star break.

Beverley says problem with Lakers is ‘not basketball’
Since the NBA veteran was traded for center Mo Bamba before the player battled with Anthony Davis and LeBron James in Los Angeles to find the best formula on the court. Not long ago, he appeared on his personal podcast discussing the Laker’s underlying issues.
“It wasn’t basketball,” Beverley said on the last full episode of “The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone” on Feb. 14.
“It wasn’t basketball. It wasn’t basketball,” he repeated. “It was something different. But other things that are really not nice to pin or point out. You know, comes and goes. You know, a little here, a little there.”

Just before the All-Star break, the Los Angeles team beat the New Orleans Pelicans, but they still sit 13th in the Western Conference with a 27-32 record. Despite James and Davis finally being healthy and playing together, Beverley insists the squad’s troubles are coming from off the pitch.
One of those issues could have been Russel Westbrook, who was dropped in the transfer window and eventually opted to rejoin Paul George in the squad for the Clippers, LA’s city rivals. ESPN’s Dave McMenamin once said the Westbrook was like a “vampire” in the locker room.
Beverley defended his former teammate on the same podcast program. “You see Russ being the first person in the dressing room every game day. Every single game,” he said. “And I’m on the first bus. LeBron also on the first bus. There are some vets in the league who only take the third bus.”
