Bojan Bogdanovic is having the best year of his career. The 33-year-old small forward, who was traded from the Jazz to the Pistons last offseason, averages 21.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 31.1 minutes per game.
Detroit head coach Dwane Casey thinks the Croatian deserves to be an all-star this year. He compared Bogdanovic to some of the great players he had previously coached.
“I hope people don’t look at our record as a recovery team and punish him,” Casey said, per Mike Curtis. “To me, Bogey is an all-star. I’ve coached a lot of offensive players in my career – Nowitzki, DeRozan, Kevin Garnett. Offensively he’s right up there with these guys.”
