San Antonio Spurs sniper Doug McDermott spoke about rookie Malaki Branham’s journey since struggling through injuries and being assigned to the G League early (13.0 PPG/1.5 RPG/1.5 APG /2.0 SPG/76.9% FG/62.5% 3-PT/100% FT during his last two games).

“I know he struggled with some ankle injuries early on and he was a bit rusty there. Driving back and forth here from Austin can be difficult. I think he’s making himself comfortable. He can play the point guard and the off guard position. He just has a very high IQ, he knows how to play. It’s great to see him perform like that.”
