Dan Azeez will box live on InNewCL Sports on March 11 in Paris in the undercard of the heavyweight duel between Tony Yoka and Carlos Takam.
Azeez, the British and Commonwealth Light Heavyweight Champion, will be in contention for the European title when he meets France’s Thomas Faure in his home country.
The main event of the bill, which will be broadcast live on InNewCL Sports, sees an all-French heavyweight showdown when Rio 2016 Olympic champion Tony Yoka clashes with former world champion challenger Carlos Takam.
The event is a blockbuster co-promotion between BOXXER and All Star Promotions at the Zenith Paris – La Villette.
Azeez, 18-0 (12), will take the next step on his own quest to become a world title contender in his challenge for the vacant EBU European Light Heavyweight Championship.
“My goal has always been to become world champion and I believe that winning the European title is the perfect springboard for me on this mission. I’m training hard and looking forward to the fight,” he said.

Faure, who takes on Azeez in this 12-round bout, is a former EU Light Heavyweight Champion and former French National Champion who goes into this fight with an eight-fight unbeaten streak.
Last December, Azeez defeated Rocky Fielding in Bournemouth, a fourth stoppage win in his last five games, and completed his rise from English to British and Commonwealth champions.
He has set out on a measured but seemingly unstoppable path to the World Championship. For Azeez, this European title fight is the next crucial springboard and he travels abroad to fight for the championship crown.
The event will be spearheaded by two Olympians as former European heavyweight champion Yoka meets the tenacious Cameroonian-born Takam.
Yoka controversially defeated Joe Joyce at the 2016 Olympic Super Heavyweight in Rio de Janeiro to win the gold medal for France, but has been a proven force on the European pro circuit since turning pro in 2017.

His only loss so far came at the hands of top-ranking heavyweight Martin Bakole, who earlier this month signed an exclusive endorsement deal with BOXXER as they prepare for a world title in 2023.
Ben Shalom, CEO and Founder of BOXXER said: “We are excited to form a relationship with Jerome Abiteboul and All Star Boxing. We genuinely believe we can partner with promotions around the world to grow the sport and make the biggest fights.
“Dan Azeez is such an exciting talent and winning the European Championship is the next step on his road to World Championship contention. It’s going to be a great experience for Dan and we have more fights to announce later this week.”
The event takes place on Saturday 11th March and will be broadcast live on InNewCL Sports in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
