One of the film’s most popular groups of friends is making its way to the small screen.
The cast of the popular rom-com series The Best Man reunite for one final ride in the new Peacock miniseries The Best Man: The Final Chapters, which premieres December 22nd. And though it’s been 23 years since the original 1999 film — and nine since its sequel The Best Man Holiday in 2013 — the franchise’s star-studded cast is looking as good as ever.
As hinted at in the series’ trailer, the upcoming series ties into Taye Diggs’ Harper Stewart as Hollywood producers look to adapt his book Unfinished Business — aka the root cause of the original film’s drama — into a movie.
The book is sure to stir up old emotions for the characters – including Nia Long’s Jordan, Regina Hall’s Candy, Morris Chestnuts Lance, Harold Perrineau’s Julian, Sanaa Lathan’s Robyn and Melissa De Sousa’s Shelby – especially when they all rally for Quentin’s (Terrence Howard) Wedding.
