The Suns are going through a rough patch of the season after losing 6 of their last 9 games. Most recently, Phoenix lost to Washington, a team that was on a 10-game losing streak.

During the game, a heated exchange of blows broke out on the Suns bench. The most active people in the incident were head coaches Monty Williams and Deandre Ayton, the two who had their differences last season.

NBA legend Charles Barkley, who spent four years playing in Phoenix, is worried about his former team. According to him, something is wrong in the dressing room.

“I told you Ernie there was something going on with my team and I don’t feel good about them right now, I’m not going to lie,” he said on Inside The NBA. “I’ve seen this team play quite a few times and there’s something going on in the dressing room and I don’t know if they can fix it.”

Chuck then went on to offer his opinion on what is actually going on in the team. “It all started in the playoffs last year when they got in and [Monty Williams] benched Ayton and it was a terrible game,” Barkley said.

“But something started, and when the training camp started, they asked Deandre, ‘Have you and Monty settled your differences?’ He says: “I haven’t spoken to the coach.” I’m like, ‘What?’ You can’t have something like that on the team because you either have to be all-in or not.

“For me, I can say because I’ve been in the NBA for 40 years, you can tell when something isn’t working. You will have to find out. Because right now it’s not working. They’ll win a lot of games because they have talent, but they’re nowhere near a contender for the championship anymore.”

The Suns are currently fifth in the Western Conference with 19 wins and 13 losses.
