The BNP Paribas Open today announced several upgraded facilities, partners and new events ahead of the 2023 tournament, which will be held March 6-19 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

The new era of Tennis Paradise will offer an enhanced on-site shopping experience; a trio of renowned brand partners; a range of new food and drink offerings; and the first-ever BNP Paribas Open Junior Championships, which fans can enter for free.

“The 2023 edition of Tennis Paradise looks set to be the best yet,” said Tournament Director Tommy Haas. “With a completely revamped retail experience, a host of new fan activations and events and of course – the best tennis players in the world battling for the title, we couldn’t be more excited to welcome fans here to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden March.”

New enhanced on-site retail experience in partnership with Legends

The BNP Paribas Open have partnered with Legends, a global premium experiences company, to deliver an enhanced on-site retail experience at the two-week tournament. The Legends Global Merchandise Division will offer an unparalleled retail experience with expanded merchandise offerings for all fans visiting the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Legends’ fully integrated vertical retail and merchandising solution partners with world-class clients across e-commerce, in-venue retail, large-scale live events, brick-and-mortar stores, licensing and consumer merchandise. This includes extensive experience developing and operating on-site retail stores at some of the world’s largest sporting events and premier venues, including the Super Bowl, PGA Championship, SoFi Stadium and more.

2023 sponsor portfolio and activations to improve fan experience

A number of high-profile brands have joined the growing BNP Paribas Open sponsorship portfolio this year, helping to bring the fan experience to life at Tennis Paradise through special on-site activations over the course of two weeks.

Premium German automaker BMW returns as the Official Car of the BNP Paribas Open, with numerous vehicles on display at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden for the duration of the tournament, highlighted by a three-car display outside Stadium 2. Fans can do so Experience multiple new BMW models, including two all-new all-electric vehicles, the BMW i4 Sedan and the BMW iX Sports Activity Vehicle, and interact with company representatives to learn about the unique features of each model, arrange test drives and more.

Seabourn – the leader in ultra-luxury ocean and expedition voyages – will become the official cruise line of the tournament. Seabourn will open an on-site hospitality lounge, offering fans a stunning oasis showcasing the cruise line’s most coveted destinations and an elevated luxury aesthetic. Seabourn’s premium voyage offerings include smaller, more intimate ships with just 250-600 guests, personalized one-to-one service and up-close expedition experiences.

Maestro Dobel rounds out the new additions to the tournament’s list of partners. As the Official Tequila of the BNP Paribas Open, Maestro Dobel will refresh, relax and hydrate fans in tennis paradise.

The tequila brand will also offer its signature Ace Paloma as the “Official Cocktail of the BNP Paribas Open” for on-site guests at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, available at its centrally located branded shaded bar.

Hollywood Icon Pink’s hot dogs highlight the upscale food and beverage offerings

A new era of food and restaurants will also greet fans at Tennis Paradise in 2023.

Legendary Hollywood joint Pink’s Hot Dogs serves its famous Franks to guests at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Pink’s has been a Southern California staple since 1939 and will provide fans at Tennis Paradise with a Stadium 2 concession option during the tournament.

Additionally, the tournament will welcome a new concession concept, Lionel’s Fountain, by acclaimed chef and restaurateur Christian Page, with a permanent location at Stadium 1 near the Stadium Plaza. Also new at Stadion 1 is Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, helping fans at Tennis Paradise cool off with their delicious frozen treats. Chef Tanya’s Kitchen, a Palm Springs-based specialty vegan restaurant, will also join the Food Village offering in 2023.

Popular in Palm Desert, Ristorante Mamma Gina will return in 2023, moving its on-site location to Stadium 2.

Tournament for the debut of the very first junior championships

While the ATP and WTA stars will continue to be the focus of Tennis Paradise, the 2023 BNP Paribas Open will offer fans more tennis than ever before. The first-ever BNP Paribas Open Junior Championships will be held in the second week of the tournament, giving promising junior tennis players the opportunity to play alongside the pros. This combined boys’ and girls’ event will be an ITF Level 1 tournament and will feature junior players from the United States and Canada, with plans to expand to a full international field in 2024.

Additionally, a new free Family Day event will be held on Saturday, March 4th, inviting families with children of all ages to participate in a variety of fun activities including tennis, live entertainment, crafts, games and more.
